Description
Guam Memorial Hospital Administrator John Hayes answered questions about possible cases and allegations of medical malpractice against GMH in a public hearing regarding GMH's budget for fiscal year 1965. Notable people in attendance are John Hayes, Congressman George M. Bamba, Congressman Edward S. Terlaje, chairman of the Finance Committee Cong. F. T. Rameriz and Congressman Jesus Okiyama. The author notes that Hayes responses to direct questions regarding the alleged cases of malpractice were addressed in a way reminesecent of how Governor Guerrero handled questions regarding the Guam Rehabilitaion Bill, although Hayes was somewhat more forthcoming. A recurring answer from Hayes about concerns of malpractice were of standards to be approved and implemented at GMH in order for the hospital to meet accrediation standards
