Description
An opinion article by Editor Manuel L. Jose. Editor Jose compares the group of Governor Manuel F.L. Guerrero, assistant Secretary Rudolph Sablan, special assistant Ed Engledow, and Honorable J.C. Okiyama, part of the Seventh Guam Legislature, to the group of the Three Musketeers. Governor Guerrero will attended a ceremony at Biggs AFB in El Paso, Texas, though the nature of the conference was not disclosed. Also with that conference, Governor Guerrero was gifted a 10 gallon Texan hat from Mayor Judson Williams, and in return, Governor Guerrero will gift Williams a award-winning painting by Adriano Pangelinan. Governor Guerrero will also attend a 15-state Western Governors Conference in San Francisco from May 1st to 6th, and the Pacific Governors Meeting in Honolulu on May 7th and 8th. Secretary Sablan will meet with the U.S. Department of Labor in San Francisco about concerns with importation of alien works to Guam; no other details have been provided. Assistant Engledow will attend the Western States Military-Civilian Traffic Safety Conference, also in San Francisco. Editor Jose points out the secrecy regarding the specifics of each of the Musketeer’s trips and the purpose why these trips are happening
