Description
An article by Editor Manuel L. Jose. Editor Jose, once again, due to the increasing concerns and worry of the people, reports on the high cost of living on the island of Guam. Editor Jose, in response to Governor Guerrero’s supposed lack of meaningful action towards rising prices towards utility and grocery prices, in the form of outsourced cost of living surveys to the U.S. Department of Labor, has acquired a personnel report from a state-sider working on Guam; the names in the report were changed for anonymity as it reports the gross disparities between costs of living on the island versus in the states: about Guam is about 40 to 48% higher overall in cost compared to the states; food items are 60% higher compared to the states; utility is 79% more compared to the states; household items are 75% more compared to the states. Included is a chart for comparison
