Chiefs of Services Chosen at GMH: the board of Trustees of the Guam Memorial Hospital approved the newly elected Chiefs of Services – Chief of Surgery, Dr. Ernesto M. Espaldon; Chief of Medicine, Dr. Lourdes H. Flores; Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Milagros Villena; Chief of Pediatrics, Dr. Leon L. Concepcion; Chief of Pathology, Dr. Faustino Garcia, Jr.; Chief of Radiology, Dr. Julio P. O’Laco
Girl Scouts Bring May Day to Patients: The Girl Scout of Troop 16 from Andersen Air Force Base surprised the Guam Memorial Hospital with over 100 May biscuits
Three GMH Employees in Training Program: The Personnel Board and the Governor have approved in-service training for Josefina Torres, Cristobal Quenga, and Winifred Torres. Josefina will go to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan, for a year while Quena and Winifred will go to the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in St. Missouri. Josefina, after her one year training will be able to take the certifying examination of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, while Quenga and Winifred, after their two year course, will take the registry examination of the American Registry of X-ray Technicians. Paul Bordallo, chairman of the Board of Trustees, felt strongly for each of the women and for the improvement for the hospital
