Description

There are three photos from the Andersen Air Force Base. The First is labeled as RAF Air Marshal Guest at Andersen and shows three men in service dress holding awards and talking to each other - Air Marshal Sir John Grandy, was the honored guest speaker at the Andersen Air Force Base Officers' Formal Dining-in, which took place at the Officers' Open Mess Wednesday evening. Included in the photo are Brig. Gen. Harold W. Ohlke and Colonel Henry F. Ledbetter. The second photo is labeled as Library Week Committee Discusses Theme and shows a mix of military personnel and civilians posing for the camera - the 1964 Library week theme is 'Reading is the Key', which is from April 12th to 18th. Included in the photo are Barbara Prince, Dixie Anderson, Richard T. Day, Harry F. Collins, Alfred Alley, Richard T. Day, and A. V. Ellis. The third photo is labeled as Air Force Drivers Receive Safety Awards - there are men in uniform talking and laughing and looking at the camera. Charles D. Schwailer presents pen and pencil sets to winners of the Air Force safety campaign; drivers are James R. Tucker, Charles L. Seniff, and Clotildo C. Boremo. Also presenting Awards is Anthony J. Drahurd. Underneath the final photo are short articles: Positions Open, offers the following employment positions - warehouse foreman, materials and equipment inspector, statistical clerk; New Air Freight Terminal BLDG., Anderson Air Force personnel accepts the building, the Squadron Operations Building, which will be home to the 79th Air Force Squadron and the 54th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron; Operation 'Wingover', announces the demonstrations and joint exercises of the supersonic F-105 Thunderchief fighter aircraft from military installations in the southwest Pacific region - included in the exercises are George Simler, William B. Craig, Robert E. Bush, Rex A. Hill, William M. Dalton, Raymond Ogle, Don C. Wood, and Dale W. Thompson; Art Show, Edward C. Unger, chairman of the Andersen Art executive committee announced that the Andersen Art Show will display Japanese paintings, which includes paintings in water colors and oils, exhibits from the SANKEI newspaper collection and Japanese scrolls - the show will be from April 16th to 19th - the contest will be held at the New Air Passenger Terminal at Andersen AFB
