Description
Fine Arts Center – Mrs. Pauline Harvey, art instructor from the College of Guam, gave plans for a Fine Arts Center: the Center will provide the public with exhibits from permanent collections of art objects, traveling art exhibits, and other programs on art. Said exhibits will be on display at the public display room in the Center. Foreign countries have been asked to donate works to the Center, which will also have local artists as well. The Guam Fine Arts Association is said to support the Center.
Fine Arts Building – respected sources last week revealed the in-progress plans for the Guam Fine Arts Building for the College of Guam. The supposed new building will be a regular classroom building, which includes work spaces for students in music, drama, ceramics, graphic arts, as well as a public display room. The music facilities included will have rehearsal space for a 40 piece band, permanent risers, and a music library and storage room. There will be a Little Theatre for the Speech and Drama Departments. The Ceramics Department will have a kiln room, along with its own public display room, and a graphics room. Overall the estimated cost of the facility is said to be $435,000, which is to be allocated under the Federal Rehabilitation Act
