An article by Editor Manuel L. Jose. Editor Jose presents the concern in which taxpayers on Guam may have to collectively pay between $20,000 to $25,000 from a special project that Governor Guerrero and his administration; this project will be federally funded so our government will only pay a third of the overall cost. The most that the Office of the Governor has released was that this special project will be an aerial survey, but to what degree and of what is unknown. Sources for the Guam Times Weekly have stated that instead of contracting to the mainland for a cheaper job, at costs of at least $50,000, a check already has been written for $50,000 already. Sources from the Guam Times Weekly also have reported that the Governor, along with Assistant Secretary Rudolph Sablan, Special Assistant Ed Engledow, and Congressman Jesus C. Okiyama, have supposedly met and contracted with unnamed companies regarding this project during their stay on Hawaii. Editor Jose mentions that the people and the government of Guam have still struggle with properties issues and surveys, but with this aerial project, that problem can be solved if and only if this project was actually intended for this specific reason.
