Description
"Xanadu 87 is the most recent edition available at the Micronesian Area Research. There are no known editions after this year.
Introduction by the editor, Ann Long Card:
Dear Xanadu Reader,
You found us! You've stumbled on Xanadu '87, a treasury of poetry, stories, and art by some fifty contributors. The variety of subject matter and form is quite broad, but one theme emerges time and time again--the islands.
Whether native or newcomer, we cannot deny the special ""sense of place"" our Xanadu authors and artists express so beautifully. Perhaps it is because an island--any island--is such an obvious metaphor for the lonely struggles withing each of us. Perhaps it it because our planet earth is itself a spherical island in the vast cosmos.
Whether we look to outer space or our own inner space, these reflections are important. They save the past. They allow us to ponder the future. They help us grow. And share.
And so it is we share with you now, Xanadu '87. "
