Description
A FINAL BRIEFING is given the natives of the small Pacific island of Rongelap, prior to there repatriation from the island of Ebeye. Richard J. Umhofer, local representative in the Kwjalein-Ebeye area for the Trust Territory’s District Administrator, for the Marshall Islands, gives the briefing. Rongelap, which was evacuated in March, 1954, after being showered with radioactive fallout from the Bikini H-bomb blast, has since been declared safe for habitation.
